UTS assemblies are run by and for students and are notable for their active show-and-tell approach. Musical performances, skits, dramatic interludes and singalongs are all part of the experience! Assemblies focus on a range of announcements, events and initiatives. Staff members and special guests are often invited to discuss important topics like mental health, or equity and inclusion, or to share study tips or news on student initiatives and achievements.
Notable UTS assemblies include: the signature first of the year, when the entire school stands to cheer and welcome the incoming F1 (grade 7) students; Remembrance Day, when alumni-veterans attend and participate; and students sharing their contemporary and classical musical compositions in the Twig Tape assembly.
