Meet the Principal

It’s always a joy to sit in my office and hear the sounds of the school reverberating around me. It might be clanging locker doors, a music practice, or a Student Services lunchtime party in the foyer. All are reminders of the vitality of our school – a veritable symphony of UTS activity.

UTS is a special place – made so by the people who comprise our community.

Our students flock to UTS from across the GTA. Intellectually curious, creative, energetic, and supportive of one another, they come together to achieve remarkable things. Our exceptionally gifted educators care deeply about their students as individuals and as participants in a shared learning experience; our staff members are generous of their time and energies. We have active and committed parents and guardians, and the UTS Parents Association contributes immeasurably to the life of the school. Our alumni and the UTS Alumni Association give back to students in numerous ways – as mentors, and by visiting, supporting and advocating for the school. They frequently let me know the central role UTS played in their growth and development and how their UTS friendships endure.

We are proud that our history – and, through our renewed Affiliation, our present and future – is so closely connected with the University of Toronto. Our many partnerships with U of T professors and departments enrich our programming, and are set to expand and flourish still further.

Community, commitment, caring and learning: that all has a great ring to it!

If you’d like to hear more about our amazing school and discover if UTS is the right fit for your child, don’t hesitate to be in touch.
